Having released her debut solo on March 12, 2021 Rosé amassed a record whopping 39 million views within 24 hours! This is more than 5 times as much as the number 2 and 3 most viewed K-Pop female soloist music videos in 24 hours.
Being the title track of her solo album R it has received positive reviews from both Billboard and MTV Australia. R also received more than 400 thousand copies in pre-orders. Which is another record for a female K-Pop soloist.
"On The Ground" is currently number one in 55 different countries on iTunes. Among those countries are the United States, Greece, France, Spain, and many more. This record surpasses the one from Olivia Rodrigo's "Driver License", which took the number one spot in onver 40 countries. Rosé also joins Blackpink groupmate Jennie as the only K-Pop female soloist in history to debut at the number one spot on the worldwide iTunes chart.
On Bugs and Genie it also hit the number one spot in South Korea. In China she has been setting records on QQ Music as well. The single album was double platinum with 300 thousand downloads within 47 minutes of releasing. A day later she already amassed 800 thousand downloads on QQ Music, becoming the first Korean album to reach this mark.
